“Essence” is a powerful exploration of feminine identity — a portrait that captures the quiet strength, vulnerability, and transformation within every woman. Through bold strokes of fuchsia, emerald, and deep crimson, Chaya De Silva layers emotion and texture to reveal what lies beneath the surface — the pure, unfiltered essence of self.

The butterfly motif emerges as a symbol of rebirth and authenticity, blending seamlessly into the figure as she rises through colour and form. Each mark is intuitive and expressive, embodying the delicate balance between chaos and calm that defines womanhood.

This original painting is a celebration of individuality — of being unapologetically you.
