The Secret Sanctuary

Original Fine Art Painting by Chaya

The Story & Inspiration

Step into a hidden realm of undisturbed beauty. The Secret Sanctuary is an immersive, vertical landscape that pulls you directly into a lush, private garden lagoon. Surrounded by a vibrant, exploding canopy of pink blossoms, wild greens, and soft pastels, a brilliant turquoise pathway of water cuts through the center of the canvas, guiding your eye deeper into the magic.

This piece explores the idea of an untouchable serene space—a sanctuary away from the chaos of the world where nature blooms wildly, boldly, and without apology.

The Details

• Medium: Professional-grade Heavy Body Acrylics and Mixed Media on Canvas.
• Technique: Hand-painted using expressive palette knife work for rich, structural textures and intricate, multi-layered brushwork.
• Texture: Signature 3D impasto texture. The foreground features highly sculpted water lilies and wild, vertical lakeside blooms that physically pop off the canvas.
• Special Details: Features a stunning metallic/reflective path in the lower left, creating a gorgeous shimmer when light hits the surface of the painting.
• Colour Palette: Rich turquoise, deep indigos, emerald greens, electric pinks, corals, and soft lavender accents.

Why It Belongs In Your Space

Because of its vertical orientation and incredibly lush palette, The Secret Sanctuary is the perfect statement piece to bring life, colour, and a sense of fresh energy into any space. It feels alive. The heavy texture catches changing ambient light throughout the day, making the water lilies seem as if they are opening up right on your wall.
