"Woven in Amber" is a visual exploration of two souls spiritually intertwined. In a world that often feels fast and loud, this piece captures the "silent language" shared between people who truly see one another. The cool purple and indigo tones represent an internal sanctuary of dreams, intuition, and ancestral whispers.

They exist against a radiant, textured gold background—the "waking world." This amber-hued space represents the bright, sometimes harsh reality they navigate together, grounded by their connection. The embedded lace acts as a veil of protection and a symbol of the delicate, complex history that is woven into the very fabric of our identity.

The Inspiration

Inspired by the concept of resilience and the beauty of shared heritage, this piece was created to bridge the gap between the organic human form and the decorative. By pressing authentic floral lace into heavy, sculptural paint, I wanted to show that our stories aren’t just told—they are felt. This painting is for the collector who believes that connection is our greatest work of art.

 Technical Artistry 

• Mixed Media Impasto: This is a highly tactile piece. I used a professional palette knife technique to create "mountainous" ridges of paint that cast their own shadows, giving the artwork a 3D, sculptural presence.

• Fabric Lace Texture: Authentic lace is meticulously embedded into the wet acrylic, creating a stunning contrast between the rough, expressive strokes of the skin and the delicate patterns of the textile.

• Complementary Colour Harmony: Using a high-impact Violet and Yellow (Amber) scheme, the colours are designed to "vibrate" against one another. This makes the indigo figures appear ethereal and glowing, serving as a sophisticated focal point for any modern interior.

• Museum Quality Materials: Painted on gallery-wrapped canvas with lightfast pigments to ensure the vibrancy of the gold and deep purples lasts for generations.
